Diversity Initiative in Scientific Research

The Broad Institute is committed to increasing the number of scientists from diverse backgrounds in the field of genomics. The Diversity Initiative in Scientific Research was launched in 2003 with a grant from the National Human Genome Research Institute that provides financial sponsorship for underrepresented minority scientists to participate in research programs at the pre-baccalaureate, undergraduate, postdoctoral, and professoriate levels.
